Our brains operate at different frequencies, depending upon
what we are doing.
• Delta waves occur in deep, dreamless sleep.
• Theta waves are present between sleeping and waking, and in
those moments when a brilliant idea comes to us although we
seemed to be 'miles away'. These are the brainwaves of inspiration.
Have you ever had a wonderful thought on waking
and then lost it because you did not write it down?
• Alpha waves appear when we are relaxed enough to allow
our thoughts to flow freely, and be creative,
• Beta waves are busy, bossy brain waves, which dominate
when we are under pressure or being competitive.
